DIY Fashion

Just because its recession doesn't mean you can't look good!

We don't have the luxury any more to go out and buy new clothes whenever we feel like it and this is the time we really get to challenge our creativity! There are many simple ways to creative new dynamics in your wardrobe for free.

Spruce up your favourite shorts!

What do you have to do? Just add fabric!!
Required:
  • Old pair of denim shorts
  • Cute piece of scrap fabric
  • Needle and thread
Pick an area in your denim shorts and sew a resonable amount of fabric on it, I picked the back pockets. Take a look.

Good luck with your creations, feedback always welcome!

Jelly Sandals are back!

Flashback to the 90's!

Whether you rocked your jelly summer sandals in the 90's or dreaded them, they're back and bigger than ever. We all remember wearing the typical jelly sandal and let's face it, they looked good.
Personally, I am no longer a fan of the jelly sandals and would steer clear of any typical jelly sandal out there.  They come in an array of beautiful colours but why go there? They are clumsy and tacky.
However if you do want to get yourself a pair they can be purchased on jellybeans.com

On the up side, you can keep in trend while looking great because Ted Baker designed a variety of beautiful  jelly flip flops and pumps. They come in various of bright summer colours with an added touch of bows which looks great. They can be themed with your bikini and shorts during a day at the beach or with a sun-dress!
Purchased: asos.com from only €45.96

The Feline Flick

Transform your look from day to night in just a flick!

In a rush out and want to revamp your look? just add a flick! Achieve it by only elongating the line adding defiance. Play around with the thickness and length of the line to add drama. This feline feature is best worn at night.

The look is accomplished with black liquid liner or pencil liner. I find "Smashbox Limitless Liner Pen"  great as it is easy to use and long lasting!

Required: Eye-liner and a steady hand.

Aztec Trill

Although the downfall Aztecs happened over 6 centuries ago they are back and bigger than ever!

What do I have to say about all  this is? Great! Personally I love the Aztec look, it is perfect if you want to  achieve a fun fresh summer look and make a statement. But don't take it overboard! You want to make a fashion statement  not a disaster.
Choose one key aztec piece and work it with your summer wardrobe!

Suggestions: Lace themed with aztec print is super cute! Great to complete an indie look

Dove Summer Glow Self-Tan

REVIEW:  Dove Summer Glow Self- Tan

How to shift that paste-y white look off your skin? If this is what is getting you down during our terrible spring weather this is certainly the product you are looking for! Dove Summer Glow not only gives you a healthy look but it also easily applied and very affordable. It can be purchased from only  €3.50-7.50. Apply it the night before and once morning comes you have achieved a fabulous colour. Avoid looking sickly and under the weather, a healthy tan transforms your look in a flash.

Tips: Apply same self tanning rules, be careful of elbows and knees.  Don't "dry" the tan in with a hairdryer, the same colour isn't achieved.

Best applied: Hands, back, shoulders and stomach. Good base for legs.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
Pros: even colour achieved no fuss.
Cons: Sticky.
